A post-doctoral position is available in a transplant immunology lab studying the genomics of chronic allograft rejection. The study is part of the NIH consortium in genomics in transplantation and is a large multicenter study. The post-doc will be responsible for exploring the relationship between differential gene expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells with outcomes following transplantation and the potential to use PBMC screening as a method to predict the development of chronic rejection. Expertize in DNA and RNA purification, a background in immunology and or microarray would be preferred.
